March- National Women's History Month
I feel that all my female ancestors were heros. They came to this barren land, worked along side their husbands in the fields, bore children, cooked, cleaned, did laundry and were the backbone of the family. How hard their lives must have been in a sod house, with none of today's luxuries and so many children to raise.
So many people only research the paternal sides of their families, and simply forget that the maternal side played an equally important part of their being.
