Permalink Reply by Melodi Lewis on January 6, 2012 at 5:26pm C R and Richie...I have had a breakthrough. Hasn't gotten me to the end result...but a move in the right direction. I have found that Hannah Lacey, Aretus's first wife is buried in Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall, Calhoun, MI...in the Lacey family plot where Samuel and and his kids and Isaac's kids are buried. So there has to be a family link. I still don't know what it is though but they are either uncles or one is his farther...I just can't find the connection.

Permalink Reply by C R Campbell on January 9, 2012 at 4:48pm Awesome!...That is huge!
I have a connection like that also....Rowland C. Masten and his son Calvin R. C. Masten (Mastin)...the only proof I have that R.C. Masten is his father is that he mentions the fact in an article he wrote about growing onions or something!....LOL
But I'll be darned tooting if I can find any "official" documentation of that fact... Richie Ellis and I are kinda working that one on the side...well, I should say He's been looking intro that one...I've been slumped over in the chair!...LOL
Take care....I'll be back shortly...

What about work in the Elizabethtown area? I have two relatives that are driving me nuts also the Crown Point area? Being an out of stater, I am not given much help sometimes in the local town clerk's office and what I am looking for I don't want to wait three years or pay huge $$$ amounts. I am looking for a marriage record for Moses Ploof & Martha Thompson 30 Aug 1872 Elizabethtown NY He was also known as Moise Plouffe but I doubt that was listed on his marriage record. Also Martha was supposed to have been born in Crown Point to James Thompson and Mary Dainty 7 Nov 1854. I have a photo that I took of her headstone in Ironsville, NY cemetery.
If you need more information I will gladly supply it! Thanks for any help that you may be able to provide.

Looks like the 2 year old was born in NY too, along with thew wife, but the 3 month old was born in Pennsylvania....so he should be in the 1830 and 1840 fed censuses at least... Emeline will be harder to find....gotta go check something...brb

Might be his father....in 1820 he's the only Daniel in NY and the only Brockway in Chenango county...
