I am looking for information regarding Emma Amelia Schultz, I have very little information to start a search.

What I have is, a 1910 and 1920 US census for the state of Washington, that gives her name as both Amelia and Emma, a birth place as Canada, her birth year about 1884. Her father's birth place as Germany and mother's as France. Her second husband's name as Curtis Stillwagon.

Her immigration year as 1897 (but difficult to read)

1920 census says the Curry children's father (children by 1st husband) was born in England

My father's memory that his grandmother may have been Emma Schultz.

A child's birth record that gives her maiden name as Schultz (this child was Leslie Stillwagon from her second marriage) Giving her name as Amelia

Entries in the marriage records in 1909 for Victoria BC of her marriage to the second husband (Stillwagon), but also gives her surname as Schultz as well as Currie, I believe Currie/Curry to be her first husband's surname. Also her parent's names of William and Minnie.

An entry in the 1920 census giving her children ( by her first marriage) the surname Curry.

My father's middle name of Curry.

My grandmother's birthdate as 14 Feb 1906, name was Bertha Irene Curry/Currie and her brother was, Hirshal Curry/Currie, born about 2 years later in Sequim Washington, both birth records burned in a fire there. Bertha Irene's birth date was on the death index so could be off but only the month and day, the year is correct with all we knew to be true of her.

Two marriage record for daughter, Bertha Irene, one to her first husband, Bertram Saunders in 1920 in King Co Wa, where Emma was a witness, and Bertha Irene's second marriage record to Albert Kotzerke in 1934 where Emma was also a witness along with her third husband, William Newman. The second marriage took place in Okanogan Wa, close to the Canada boarder. Bertha Irene was listed as living in Alaska so Emma may have been the one to be living in Okanogan. There was some talk that Emma and Irene (as Bertha was known by) were married on the same date in the 1934 marriage but I have never been able to prove that.

I have researched a few of the Emma Amelia Schultz's in Canada and so far none have met her criteria

I have used Ancestry, Family seasrch (all three versions), Heritage quest, google, the vital index for BC, the Census site for Canada.

There is so much i want to know but for now, what I would like to know is the given name of her first husband Mr CURRIE/CURRY (My g- Grandfather) when and where they were married and hopefully some information or leads about him.

Leads to the ancestry of my Emma Amelia Schultz, where in Canada she was born etc.

I have traced the Emma Amelia with the parents of Rudolf and Pauline, (in Ontario) this is _not_ her family, This family is the one that every one seems to reccommend to me. I did extensive research on this family so if any one knows someone who wants my information about them I would be happy to share all of it.

So you see, I have basically _nothing_ concrete (primary sources) to go on just a lot of little things. I tried to present all of the relevent information in the briefest way I could, I would love to find siblings of Emma's if there were any. she is such a mysterious woman.

I only have Emma's marriage record for her second marriage (to Curtis Stillwagon) 24 Aug 1909, and the witnesses were Bessie H Clay and Margret Jean Clay and they were married by, W Leslie Clay. They were married at 506 Government St Victoria BC... It lists him as a methodest and her as Presbyterian, but I find her religion changes through out her life. Aunt Bev said Emma was raised Catholic, but as long as she knew her she went to what ever church was close by. I live in the San Francisco bay area and have no conception of how it is up there in Canada, looks like a road trip may be in order.

Oh, say, where was Agnes in 1881 then if born C. 1880?  http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/census11/View.jsp?id=47683&hi...

The 1891 has her as b.1878

Well here's one to ponder the children all say Religion R.C. but not the father... ?

Shoot my other addition went south...Maybe we posted at the same time? Not sure...I couldn't find a marriage for Jane but an undated one came up, and she may have been married to a Morrison then an Anderson...

William's was still up so I'll post the link...Now he says his mother was Julianne, so was Minnie's father married twice?

This newspaper never began until 1906 but maybe you can find something once you figure out if Minnie Moffat/Moffit was yours or not. Charles became a ferryman, his death in 1954 confirmed he was born at St. Joseph's mission  as well so that's a good place to look...

This could be a fabulous resource for BMD & history forsiblings  http://www.quesnelmuseum.ca/CaribooObserver_form.html

minni'es mother Mrs ? Moffat/Moffit might be buried in the Mission's cemetery as it is catholic ( R.C.) http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bccaribo/StJoseph.html

You'll have to send that person i gave you in the earlier url an email a request for a lookup...

info on Jean Baptiste Boucher can now be found here...LINK...That's the trouble with constantly changing a website's url...all these dead links Note that there is a Charles Jane Emilia and a William. This site LINK           s says

argh  that link says there may have been 17 children of whom 13 are known I suppose claimed by descendants...without proof that Mary was a Buschie/Boucher I guess you can't ever make that claim although they likely had no more than oral family history either.

Oh yes, I had also added to note that there is an Emilia, Charles, and a William

J.B,'s brother in law thought to be Duncan Livingston

Something glitchy happening again so that's it for my frustration level as I supposedly had 7 minutes left and I didn't...

Here is the one for Boucher the link kept joining to anything else I added to the post...so I think I may just start adding urls to page no matter how long.

Can't resist adding to this most interesting thread...those marriages as found on LDS site in order ...in case anyone ever wants to do a lookup for witnesses...
plus it puts the family of Thomas and Mary in order...Note William says mother Julianne so was he using a middle name or is Maria her saint's ( Catholic) first name & the other?

How frustrating have to go look for everything again as it all disappeared

In 1881 Charles Buschie has an interesting notation bottom right of page "parents born in...." ( below that is just date and enumerator's name)
http://data2.collectionscanada.gc.ca/e/e329/e008211438.pdf

1891 says he's a widower & both parents both born B.C. http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/databases/census-1891/001081-119...

1901 he is married again no wife with him
http://automatedgenealogy.com/census/ViewFrame.jsp?id=18230

Not that below is Edward Boucher / Buschie who was a son of Charle's brother William...who married Alice (Jane?) so she may have married a cousin if her mother turns out to be a Buschie/Boucher as suspected...

He is working for the Lyn family...and Maud A Mackin Minnie's child with third partner in household

1911 I haven't seen him

Note that there are many Boucher born early B.C. ( late 1700's who are living in early Quebec, so there may have been more than just this one Boucher family)

Thank you again, I copied all of the notes on to a word processor for my records. and will try to put it together in to some sort of a "theory" then try to get the proof. I find that works for me and keeps things sort of organized. If minnie was married in 1879 to Rohr then she must have remarried some time before about 1883, Emma was born in 1884.

Have you asked for help from local genealogical societies?

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bcqgs/

Census aren't a huge help as people are missed or badly named. Fathers are off on their own claiming to be single while children are in other homes cared for by children. Edward Bouschie is back in his parent's home by 1901, says married... he's had at least 2 children with Minnie's sister Alice by then and I don't see them at all.... looking in homes all about them there are pages & pages where only first names are given, the surnames too hard to spell??  Ack, a pointless nightmare, but I have enumerated with people of similar intellect, never checked for competency.." just do the job & you get paid..."

But there may never have been a marriage to William Schultz, I can't find a death for Sam Rorh...did we find a marriage to John Macken? Few if any births to be found...most information for parents comes from marriage info.
