Looking for any Ekman family still living in Finland. Particularly anyone that would be familiar with Samuel Edvard Ekman and his daughters Linnea and Siva Margaret Ekman. All three came to America in at the turn of the 20th century.

Can you be more forth comming.. Where in Finland? if people see a place or origan, rather than just a country they are more likely to post.. do you have a town?
And perhaps some first names for those who came to US it might help.
I gave three first names...the three that I have. I can't give you a town, because I believe the family moved around a bit. Sivia was born in Seinajoki, Vaasa, Finland...that is the only town I have. Her mother is listed as Amanda "S", born abt 1877. Samuel came back and forth between Finland and America a couple of times before the girls came over. The girls came over and were turned away at Ellis Island due to a sick infant of their traveling companion. The came again a year later (1914).

Sorry I missed the names.....wow they sure had their difficulties getting here.
I hope someone will see this and respond...

Thanks, and yes, it is interesting the difficulties faced during that period of history. It just goes to back up some of the Ellis Island horror stories I've heard about.
