Ah, it's been a while since I looked at this line......

I've got Caselton Patrick b Mar 19 1812 in Haddon, Huntingdonshire married Sussana Quinsey b 1816 in Orton Longville, Huntingdonshire

The dates come from the headstones and caselton saw fit to inscribe Huntingdonshire across it. That helped immensely!...:) Although it's barely legible now.

Altenative spellings I've run across Castleton, Casilton, Castledon, Casileton and Susen, Susan, Susana

Children;

Henry Patrick b: 1842 in Haddon, Huntingdonshire

George Patrick b: 1843 in Chesterton, Huntingdonshire

Joseph Patrick b: 11 MAR 1845 in Chesterton, Huntingdonshire

IIRC, 1841 census they are in Haddon

I never awas able to locate them in the 1851, that inforamtion came from another GEDCOM...

I have Caselton baptized Jun 7 , 1812...father's name is John

I have Sussana as dau. to Christopher Quinsey b 1776 per 1841 census

Any additonal info or correction appreciated. Thanks.

There’s no marriage of a John Patrick and Jane on Hunts Marriage Index.

In 1851 living in Haddon Hunts (not easy to find when Ancestry shows it as Hadston Northants) was Jane Patrick widow 83 b Thornhaugh, Northamptonshire, which is I suspect where they may have married. And sure that's where they did marry. IGI shows a marriage in Thornhaugh on 18 Aug 1788 between John Patrick and Jane Green

I’ll post this now before I lose it all again!

Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - had visitors for the last 2 weeks, one of the perils of living in the south of France

Holy smokes! Amazing!

BVRI? I've heard of the FreeBMD but have as yet to make my way there....

I had no idea Caselton had come from such a large family, let alone that he was the youngest.

By 1860 Caselton, Sussana, Henry, George, and Joseph (my gg-gfather) immigrated to Covert Township, Seneca County, New York. Henry was married to an Elizabeth 4 or 5 years his senior and by 1863 they had a child Louisa. Each of the men owned a farm at the time, with a Hill family, also from England, sandwiched inbetween.

They, well most of them are buried in Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken, Seneca County, New York which happens to be the resting place of Rod Serling of Twilight Zone fame. My great grandfather owned the lake house next door to Mr. Serling for a time.

Can't thank you enough for the effort! Still amazed! I'll have to go off and try to locate these resources...Thanks!

FreeBMD covers civil registration of births deaths and marriages from July 1837 onwards. The BVRI is a CDrom set formerly produced by the LDS, but it's now on Ancestry as  England & Wales Christening Records, 1530-1906  and England & Wales Marriages, 1538-1940.

Hunts isn't the easiest of the English counties to research as the LDS was refused permission to film many parish registers so there's only a limited amount of data available online.

Let us know if you need anything else looking up.

I know what you mean....last night I spent a good deal of time typing up their story in America only to lose it the same way...:/

Edit: Hmm, I just noticed these rpelies aren't showing up underneath the messages I was replying to...??? (shrug)

Ha! Even more! You guys are amazing.....thanks so much again...

Hm...I'm not sure if I do have a copy of it outside of what can be found at LDS....

If you could forward a copy that would be fantastic! Thank you.
