Anyway:

Duncan , Gladys year of death: 1922 Cert # 039961 DOB 04/12/1914 DOD 11/26/1922

Glens ferry, Elmore Idaho

Dear Elizabeth McCormick, thank you for this information. My wife and I are delighted to get it. She was never sure where her Grandfather was born in Scotland. Thanks to you, now she knows. We knew about Gladys death. She died from a black widow spider bite. At least that's what my wife was told. A couple of years ago we were in Glenns Ferry and found Gladys grave in the local cemetery. She and her grandfather Mollison are buried in the same plot.

The other missing piece of the puzzle is where and when William and Elizabeth were married. We know it wasn't in Idaho. Any suggestions as to how to find out if they were married in the U.S.  or Scotland?

Again, thank you for sending us the information.

Best wishes,

Richard and Donna Bauman

I am looking for their imigration record for you.. William and Elizabeth  didn't come the same year.. so we shall have to dig a bit more.. glad I could help a wee bit..

Oregon History and Genealogy

Good Elizabeth,

Thanks to you, we have learned more today about my wife's ancestry on her father's side than we could have hoped for. Thank you for taking the time to look up and send us this information. It not only helps my wife, but will be helpful to her half-sister who was just four years old when their father died, and had no knowledge of her father's family of origin other than what we  have given her. Now, she'll have much more of her history.

You are a blessing.

Best wishes,

Richard Bauman

Richard,

You and Donna are more than welcome, I still haven't looked for Williams immigration, or sorted it out as there are dozens of William Duncan's who came here, would seem the name is common as 'dirt' as we say.  I am ever so glad we could open doors to the past for her and her sister. Its a prize when we can touch the past, even a little. I did see a couple of news paper items in about 1943 ish that mentioned the farm was for sale as William had moved to California for his health and his son William Jr had been managing the farm. I will go back and see if there are more on WIlliam Jr and the other children for her.

My best to you both and hopefully we can expand a bit on the family with news items.

Enjoy

Eliz
