Looking for any info on Richard Simmons & his family from Kendall Co. Il. i now he went to Vietnam in 1967, he was born Sept. 1947 & died in Big Sandy, Tn. his fathers name is William Simmons, would like to know his mothers name, story was told that the mother died in Kendall Co. Il. sometime in the 1960's but unable to prove that, some say the mother ran off, would like to know who is she is & happen really happened to her. any help will be greatly appericated

Services were held at Stockdale-Malin Chapel in Big Sandy on Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. Bro. Bill Holbrook officiated. Burial was in Crooked Creek Cemetery. Mr. Simmons was born September 16, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of William Lafayette Simmons of Big Sandy, and the late Alice Pauline Hill. He was a disabled U.S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Era, received the Purple Heart and three Victory Medals. Besides his father, he is survived by a half sister, Linda Davis of Manito, Illinois, and a half brother, Billy Simmons of Tamms, Illinois."
