Need help please with record of death of my grand uncle..have found 2 records with name..first born a day later 21st Dec 1900 in same area but death of 1979!! I would have know him so can't be the one' a more likely is record of death 1952 but how to prove this match???

Buy the 1952 death cert from the GRO at http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/ which should include his middle name and the name of the informant. If the middle name is James then you're still in with a shout, and it's then a case of seeing if the informant is a name that you recognise - his wife or one of his children possibly.
