Helping hands helping one another with our family history & genealogy research.
Hello, I am trying to locate early Weekleys (may be variations on spelling) who lived in Grenada. Also stayed in the Tallahatchie Co area as well. My gggrandfather Alex Weekley abt 1836-40 lived there with his wife Sarah Britt who was born abt 1847. This may be a previously married name for her.
Can not find out who Alex parents or siblings are. Also trying to put the Britt family tree together to see who Sarah was connected with previously before marriage to Alex. I believe that Alex and Sarah married sometime between 1870-1873 in Grenada Co. They had 4 sons: Cubie-1867, Alex-1873, Larkin-1875, Frank-1879
Any help or suggestions are most appreciated. I live in St. Louis, Mo and am willing to help with some research needed in this area. Thank you all in advance for any responses.

now the ? begs who is who.. could the 1st one be his parents?
Thank you for responding. This I do believe may be the son of the older Alex but I have to send off for marriage info to see if it names the parents. The other census is the older Alex and it must be a second or third marriage because I found him on the census with his wife Sarah and family under the name Wiggley.
Once again thank you so much.

Permalink Reply by Eliz on March 3, 2011 at 7:50am Yes, right now the elder Alex is my stumbling block. I can not find family connection for him or his wife other than his children and their descendants and so far nothing of help from them to give a new direction to take.
I should be receiving something within the next two weeks and I will let you know what I find out if anything. I will also be sending out some more inquires as well within the month.
Thank you for help.
