So it seems he owned 2 newspapers..

Permalink Reply by Jean Gray on March 8, 2012 at 11:35am I am having a problem with the Y in John's name. There is a Senator in the US with the Name John Y McKane who is quite a bad apple.
Is this the same John? I had donesome research so I don't think so but the name's seem to be interchanged. His birth certificate shows no middle name or initial. He is my Great Uncle and I have a picture of a man who I think is John and I also have a picture of a woman with my Great Grandmother and Grandmother taking in Scotland. I would like to find a picture of Florence to see if it is her in the picture.
Permalink Reply by Jean Gray on March 7, 2012 at 7:05pm Thank you so much. I did not know about the hospital or the newspaper names. But the best find is Mrs. McKanes name. What a bonus.
