David N Morgan was born in New Hampshire in about 1818..he traveled to Ontario Canada where he married Fannie Fletcher, born about 1825. Their first child, a male, with an odd name that looks like "Mellin" in the 1860 US census, was born in 1842 in Canada, so am guessing they married around 1841. David notes his Father was born in Vermont and his Mother in New Hampshire on the 1880 US census. He also wavers between a birthplace of New Hampshire and Canada for himself and on one census his middle initial looks more like an M than an N. They stayed in Canada until 1856 or 57 when they moved to the Moore's Forks area of upstate New York. I have looked for David in New Hampshire but haven't had much success, any ideas?

Also are any of the Ancestry Trees for any of these last names yours?
save us unnecessary postings if they are..

Permalink Reply by redhugh on April 2, 2012 at 7:11pm Thank you...this is the first "hit" for anyone who could conceivably be our David...I will try to follow the trail....all I know is that Harley, son of William S. Morgan, who was the second born of David and Fannie, always said his family originally came from Wales...wish I would have been more persistent years ago!!!!
