Bansemer, Hunt, Rickard, Kress,McFadden, Jacobsen, Smith in Hudson County

Hi, I'm researching the above surnames in Hudson County, New Jersey. Hermann Bansemer was my great grandfather, arriving from Germany in 1882. I'm looking for siblings or collateral relatives that can help me locate where in Germany they came from. Hermann m. Emily Kress, and had 6 sons.,Frederick,Herman (Edward), John(my grandfather), Christopher, Richard, and Louis.

Ellenrose (Nellie) McFadden m./ Calvin Smith and had 3 daughters, Loretta, Anna Grace (Peggy) and Loretta. Peggy m. Alphonse Jacobsen in 1921, and had my mother Edythe. Any cousins or relatives out there that can help with information, I would be very grateful.

What do you already know about Hermann and the family..?
Hi, Elizabeth
I have his marriage certificate and all birth cetrificates of his children. I have him on the 1900 census, but he no longer appears on the 1910- his wife and sons do. I'm trying to find where in Germany he came from; his wife, Emily , came from Wurttemburg. Every record of them that I have only lists Germany; and in the 1920 census, the sons answered that their parents came from Pennsylvania! Right after WW1- they didn't want to answer Germany! So, in posting, I'm reaching out and hoping that other relatives might see my post.

Thanks, Elizabeth. No, thankfully, that wasn't my g-grandfather! :-) Since we last spoke, I have found his grave, and am now hoping to get down to Hudson County and see if I can look at the records. Happy Hunting!

Have you seen the tree at Ancestry and contacted them? or is it yours? There is one rather well done..

Thanks, Elizabeth. One is mine, and the other with Smith relatives is my cousin, Jodee James. Thanks also, for answering and helping. I do have these birth records- I was able to find them at the NJ Archives. I love how things are transcribed- Emily's last name is really Kress, but Giese gives me another odd angle to search. :-)
