Helping hands helping one another with our family history & genealogy research.
My great great grandfather, Robert Snare, was born in Gasthorpe in 1832 and baptised in the Riddlesworth Church. He died in Tasmania in 1901. His parents were George and Eliza (nee Howe) Snare and his grandparents were Francis and Patience Snare (nee Rice), all of whom died in Norfolk. I would love to make contact with any descendants of the Snare family.

Have you seen that there are 29 trees on Ancestry which include your Robert Snare, so hopefully some of these will be descendants

I am subscribed to Ancestry and have seen the 29 or so trees that include my Robert Snare. Unfortunately most of them contain incorrect information which is almost impossible to have corrected. I fear there is a lot of "cut and paste" happening on Ancestry which is a shame because it can lead to a lot of errors. I have tried contacting the submitters to alert them to the problems but some are no longer subscribed and others don't want to know. I research all my information in original sources so am pretty confident that my information is correct. Thank you for your reply - good luck with your research in 2012.
Cheers, Chris
