Glad you have come to the North Dakota group. We will try to help you. Do you have idea where in North Dakota they may have lived? Where did they come from? Do you know if Robert was married or had children? The more information you can provide, the easier it will be to help you locate them.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. They lived in Grafton both born there I think John moved to Canada because he married Julia Anne Hebert b 29 July 1875 in Catham Ontario and died 27 November 1954 in Tompkins, Saskatchewan.

Robert (my granfather, married Luzelle Elizabeth Moore 3 August 1923 in Payton, Saskatchewan their children: Earl, Julia and my mother Louzzelle

I have searched the Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801-1928 every way I can think of for a marriage on 29 July 1875 between Julia and John - including only the date - including only Julia's 1st name Nothing is showing up anyway I search. Possibly someone else can find a marriage record.

Dont think so. Info I have is Robert Roleph Jensen b 10 October 1900, Grafton North Dakota, married 3 August 1923, Payton, Saskatchewan, Canada died 6 August 1986 Portland, Oregon. His father John Cornelius born 11 May 1865, Grafton North Dakota died October 1950 Tompkins, Saskatchewan, Canada. Father Cornelius, married Martha Loe born 28 April 1842, Ringerkike, Norway

What do you know about the siblings of John?

Do you have the marriage record from Saskatchewan? Have you looked at the local history books for Payton and Tompkins?

Do you have death record and obituary for John who died 6 August 1986 Portland, Oregon? I didn't find him in the Social Security Death Index nor the Oregon Death Index.

Sorry I dont have any of the records you mentioned except the death record of my grandfather Robert Roleph Jensen who died in 1986, sorry for any mixup. Thanks for trying, and giving me other avenues to try

Do you know Robert's brothers and sisters names - that would help us find them in the census

Where did Robert's wife die and when?

Obits can sometimes give great info

Also I am not finding a town Payton in Saskatchewan? Being a Saskatchewanite I have never heard of it

Exactly what info is on Robert's death certificate - that may help us help you.

If he had siblings or not?

If this is his family he would not show up in it as he was born after the census of 1900 was taken

Searching the Oregon Death Index, 1903-98 every way I can think of is not bringing up a death for Robert Jensen  6 August 1986

Can someone else find it?
