Lucas County, Looking for a CARTER
Hi, I have an ancestor that last I knew was in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. I have been able to find him up until the 1940 census and know that he was divorced from his wife in the late 1940s.
His name is Carl Jefferson Carter, born September 21, 1903, in Nashville, Tennessee. He married Elizabeth Sadler in 1923 and had one son named Carl Jefferson Carter, Jr. in 1924. They moved to Toledo sometime before 1930 as they are in both the 1930 and 1940 census there. I do know from a brother-in-law of his that he and his wife divorced in the late 40s but he has no other information after that. I would just really like to be able to find out what happened to him after the divorce.

Thanks. I have all of the information regarding his son's death and there isn't anything there about his father other than his name, but I will look into the second death index you gave to see if this might be the guy
