I am researching my family that came from Wellington, Ontario. I have one ancestor, Margaret Ord, born 1828 in Coldingham, Berwickshire, Scotland and died in 1867 in Wellington, Ontario. I know my Gt. Aunt had a Cousin, John Ord that was doing some genealogy but that was back in the 1970's. Anyone know of any of these surnames?

One old source gives Crown Cemetery, Killean Cemetery and Mountview as having McLarty gravesites. She was born 12 Feb 1824 Feorline Arran, Scotland according to a McMaster descendant. I show her death the same 05 Jun 1904 in Waterloo, Ontario. From the relative I corresponded with back 2002 she had gone to live with one of her daughters until her death. I'm sure somewhere in my mess, I must have her cemetery info but none for John.

Thank you all for your kind help and responses.

Archibald & Maggie came to Vader, Lewis County, Washington, U.S.A. and had a dairy farm. It was just up the road from my Grandfather's dairy farm where my Mom was raised.  Thank you so much Hill and M for the information to add to my records. I still can't find the reference about the cemetery being destroyed - maybe a figment of my imagination! A note from a volunteer researcher from Wellington Br of OGS dated 2002 said he couldn't find any grave for John McLarty.

Thank you! Sorry about having the wrong date in another post and not knowing the cemetery site at the time. I am just digging into notes I have from 2002 and trying to get some organization to them so I know what's what. Didn't mean to run people on a wild goose chase!

I miss wrote the death of John McLarty - Sorry. He died in 1874.

Hi NP. Do you know where he died? I am still looking for his death record.

Is this a possibility?
