Helping hands helping one another with our family history & genealogy research.
John Moore was born in Sadsbury Township, Chester County , PA sometime in 1796. Maybe Parkesburg area, He was employed in a rolling mill in Parkesburg..
He married Susanna Lowery in Muskingham Co., Ohio on Jan 4, 1827 I have the names of all of their children, and it appears that he stayed in Ohio. What I am looking for is information such as names of his parents and or siblings (if any) I would like to try to determine which of the many -many- many Moore familys in this Pioneer region he might belong with. A cousin said his fathers name may have been James, Mother possibly Elizabeth. They may have been a Quaker family , as were many of the Moores. I am searching the Quaker Meeting records now but haven't been able to find anything. I know first names are often repeated in families. Our family has Williams, Johns, Henrys repeated over several generations. I am also going thru the 1790 census records trying to determine who was in the Chester Co area at that time. Any leads or help will be appreciated. An actual identification will be CELEBRATED!

Permalink Reply by Lew Hartswick on September 9, 2011 at 6:01pm I've got a "zillion" Moores in the family tree of my maternal line. Going back to the 1600s in Ireland. Would you like to look at the lot?
