Hi Jim

did locate a Johnston Fitzsimmons on Find a Grave in Allegheny County Penn.Burial Date 1927,Cemetery records.

You could try contacting the Cemetery or the owner of the memorial in hopes of finding more information.

This is the information that I started looking for approximately 18 months ago, the only thing I knew was that Johnston had died from a heart attack. I was mistaken in that I actually thought that Johnston's daughter Grace had died before he did (she died August 5th, 1928, she had got married to Albert Schmidbauer Feb. 15th, 1928, no info. re death). I found this info. on Grace about 9-12 months ago but was always looking for the death of Johnston after Grace's death. Again I thank you as I can pass this on to my wife's family members in Ireland, and also devote a lot more time to my side of the family in County Antrim and Scotland

This does appear to be the same person but I cannot locate a death on the information you have provided.Can you tell me where you found the information.

Also do you have a birth year for Johnston Fitzsimmons.

Sorry Jim about the confusion,was merely trying to help.Thought that your uncertainity on Grace maybe on not having access to the images.

Hopefully the Department of Health has a index on Johnston Fitzsimmons,you should be able to order a death certificate to be certain he is the one,also for Grace.

Inquiring on the birth of Johnston Fitzsimmons,I noticed family search had two,one born Jan-Mar 1886,Belfast, also Jan- Mar 1877,Belfast. Was wondering which one was yours.

Hi Hill,

I just messed up and tried to ue the reply button on my email program with the do-not-reply address, so here goes once again. I had meant to ask you for some further information about the Homewood Cemetery if you don't mind, but got involved with family hospital visits and tests.
I got the information about the graves of both Grace and Johnston Fitzsimmons thank you.
My question is this: "Is there any way that the date of Birth for both can be added and how is that done.
It is not that I want to do it personally, as the information is as follows:
Johnston Fitzsimmons Date Of Birth: August 23rd, 1877 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Grace Fitzsimmons Date of Birth: March 24, 1904 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I do have further details but figure that is all that the cemetery requires?

I have checked the Department of Health listings for the year 1927 but cannot find any record of Johnston's death.

As previously noted I did find Grace's listing.

Heck, you may have posted this yourself, but I found a William Johnston Fizsimmons at http://genealogytrails.com/penn/allegheny/allegpa_surnames.html and an entry of his grave at www.findagrave.com.  Probably not much help.

Thank you for your interest in my search for the whereabouts of Johnston Fitzsimmons (as you can see I had searched and found a Fitzsimmons called William Johnston but I later found his name was simply Johnston Fitzsimmons). If the family had any information about the deaths of Johnston and Grace or should I say if it had been passed on to me I probably could have saved the 70 to 80 hours I have spent searching for what happened in Allegheny County in the late 1920s. Again many thanks.

Glad you were able to get the Birth dates,was concerned as there appeared to be two Johnston Fitzsimmons.
