Hello Amdabrock

According to the marriage on Family Search for William P Hodder and Maude Bellinger,the parents of William are John Stock & Mary C Hodder but the name Stock is on top of Hodder.Wondering if the name was hypenated?

As for the Census information

William Stock or Hodder has his parents birthplace as follows 

1910 Census Father's birthplace in Wales, Mother's birthplace in Pennslyvania. Occupation Coal Miner

1920 Census same as above

1930 Census has both parents birthplace as Pennslyvania. Also a Clarence Hodder on same Census page

According to the Census they had twelve children. Have you tried following the children to see what last name they used?

Also on Find a Grave

there appears to be a headstone for William & Maude Hodder. 

Have you been able to locate a Death Certificate for William Hodder? Thinking you may need that to hopefully shed some light on the two surnames.

The Draft Notice for William Perry Hodder has a birth date but I could not locate a certificate on Family Search.

May have located William in the 1900 Census. William appears to be residing with his wife's family,Bellinger

Once again his Mother's birthplace is Pennsylvania.

Thought you might find this census interesting. Have located a John Stock with a wife Mary C Stock and a step daughter Rosa M Hodder. It would appear that John Stock maybe his stepfather.This Census was found only a few pages from the one I sent for William Hodder.

  Amdabrock   Meant to say on the same census page as William Hodder, but Rosa birth is in Illonois.

Based on the information found on the 1900, If Phillip Stock is William Hodder half sibling,have been able to locate a Maiden name for William mother Mary Catherine Thomas. Hope this helps in trying to locate information on the Father to William Hodder.

found this and more thanks to bcrick and hill I have one more difficult now. Rose ann white born in pennsy 1898, married louis carman 1904,lasted less than five years .
