Phillipson
David Alexander Phillipson, son of Alexander Phillipson and Jane Douglas, born Bristol around 1833. Came to Australia via Canada acoording to family folklore. Any one with any information on this family? I have lots of information on his descendants, but not his ancestors!

He and his parents (Dr Alexander Phillipson, a surgeon and Jane Douglas) and siblings (names unknown) were purportedly in Hamilton Ontario from about 1850...maybe earlier. All leads welcome! I am stuck on this one.
