I am  doing  a  search now  .had  to  go in my marriage disc to  check to  see  where  Thomas  was  b  ....its  CANFORD  and  that  place  is  in Hampshire, maybe  you need  to  visit  the  Hampshire  section  on here  not  unless  you already  have! At  least  I have  found  the  marriage  and  got  it verified  for  you. So i am happy  if  ur  happy   !!!!!!!!!!! Please  dont hesitate  to  contact  me  if  u need  anymore  help.  You will find  the  parents  but now  at  the  moment they dont want to  come  out  to  play   hahahahah

You're a gem Zillah!  Love your sense of humour!  I haven't done any chasing in Hampshire as yet, but certainly will give it a try.  Because Ann Bailey came from Fernhurst in Sussex, I assumed Thomas must have been born there also.  No wonder I couldn't find Canford in Sussex!  It wuurr somewhere else! Kingshott's were big in Sussex, and part of the family line moved to Hampshire.

yes  i have  got  a  good  sense  of  humour lol .and  also  my  mother in law  mx2  to  a  KINGSHOTT   and  he  died  in 1982 but  i am  not  doing  his  side  of  tree   i married  ma  in laws  eldest  son  from  her  1st  marriage   which was  a  HUTCHINSON  and  im not  even  going  there    hahahahahah .yes  the  KINGSHOTTS were  big  in sussex and  i LIve  in East  sussex   a  load  of  them  in NEWHAVEN  where  i live  

well  i must  dash im running  later  to  leave  for  work  argh!!!!!!!  talk very  soon

Hi Zillah,

Another one for you and your beautiful Disc!  I am looking for a marriage between John Bettesworth of Stedham in Sussex to an Elizabeth.  It was in 1598.  I would love to know her surname.  There are Bettesworths in the Fyning Rogate area and wondering whether she is also linked to them.  Any help for me??

John  Bettesworth   to  Elizabeth  WOODES 21 nov 1583 in stedham west  sussex

also  the  other  bettesworths in Rogate .......John bettesworth to  Elizabeth  BAKER  11 Dec  1654 in Rogate (both of  Rogate and Bishops transcript)

Hope  this  helps and  by the way  for all john Bettesworth in the  list  only goes  back to  1583 ........but  it could go  back further  if  a  different name  other  than JOHN

OK  heres  ROBERT BETTESWORTH  marriage  to  Alice  Avery (Averie on my disc  )15 jan 1621/2 in LURGASHALL  west  sussex  (this  has  put  the  cat  among  the  pigeons hahahahahah) he  was  a  bach  and  she  a  sp both of  that  parish

 

and  while  i was  looking this  might  be  of  interest  to  you :

Robert bettesworth   marriage  to  a  DENISE MARTYN 19 jan  1594/5 in Stedham

Hi Zillah,

It appears that we're on the right trail.  I am wondering now whether Robert Bettesworth who married Dennise Martyn is the father of the Robert Bettesworth that married Alice Avery? Are you able to find that out???  It would be great if we could pin that one.  It would mean that we have an uninterrupted line. Whackydo!

the extra  info  ...he  from .... worth  and  she  is  from  RACKHAM in AMBERLEY

Witnesses  ....Robert  HARMES and  Harry Peckham 

       nb  notice  spelling  of  Harmes/Harms  ....

thats  not me  and  my typos   hahahahah
