William R. Ray
I have traced my husband's line back to William R. Ray, born 1795 in North Carolina. He was married to Barbara Barbary Spear on March 31, 1821 in Wake, North Carolina. He died in 1850 in Gibson, Tennessee. Barbara Spear was born in 1806 in North Carolina. She also died in Gibson, Tennessee. If anyone has any information on the parents of either William R. I have traced my lineage back to George Miller who was married to Mary Margaret Brandon. George was born in 1767 in Germany. He came to the US and landed in Philidelphia in 1806. George and Mary Margaret (Peggy) were married 8-13-1795 in Rowan County, North Carolina.
