"Sounds like a good idea. A break away from what is causing you a problem may be the best thing. Do some other research and then maybe go back to your brickwall a little later. I do know how frustrating Irish Research is. Val"

I got started researching my family history ......
After my Mum passed away, I promised myself that I would learn all the things I could about my Family History before it was too late.
I have been doing genealogy since ....
In between work for about 6 years.
We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
My elusive Kennedy's in Ireland.

Once again Thank you for your help. I read your naming patterns blog and I realise that it may not always be the case but it would actually make searching easier, at least you have a common thread to look for. I am going to keep it in mind for future searches.

Hi Chris answer to your message you sent me.
Only ones I can say for sure are.
James Kenedy Christening 4th March 1795.
Elisabeth Kenedy Christening 6th March 1797.
Jean Kenedy Christening 24th July 1799.
What you need to do now is find their marriages & then on the Scottish census records this will confirm if the marriages are correct.
Mind you thats if they didnt die before 1st Census, sorry cant help with Scottish census as I dont have access to them, but sure there will be somebody that will.
