Charles Alford

I am looking for families related to Charles Alford. Charles lived in the Fingal valley 1839 until his death 1889.I have immidiete family but am looking for Charles place of birth England 1808 and his daughter Emily Jane Alford.She had a child in 1875 in Hobart Elizabeth Sophia Alford fathers name Robert McCarthy born Fingal. Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
Gamble, Alford, Reynolds, Doubleday, Cruise, Spurway, Smith, Dale.
Also looking for Margaret Black Smith b 1875 Gorsebridge Scotland married 27/11/1908 Portobello Edinbourgh to Alexander Wood born Pencaitland Haddington Scotland.
I got started researching my family history ......
Looking for my fathers family PIDGEON in Devon uk and it grew. Now I need help please.

We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
Nicholas May b 1775 Plymouth and Charles Alford b 1808 England (might have been Overt Somerset)

have you tried to see if there is a FHS in the frome area, maybe they could help.
Even the local library might have the newspaper articles you are after.
You should find them very helpful.

Hi Colin, I knew he left from London in 1830. I have found Charles Alford from Frome Somerset, with brother William (he named his first son William) born 1808 but after birth can't find him. Will send to Tas again and ask for mariage cert maybe something on there. Thanks for help.

I have not managed to find anything on your Charles sorry about that, seems to be very elusive.
Found that none of the passenger lists were kept from that time on depatures from London, not sure if you know that is where the resource left from that he left on.
