Sheyen said… My first Heyen's to the states were Gerd Heyen and Sedina Freeman, they married I think about 1870-5, vague at the moment. He came to the states in 1866, and she came and lived in Missouri for awhile around 1860. They settled in Humboldt, Ne, lived there their entire lives. The Adens were Henry and Mary Aden, they came to the states in 1847-49, their first daughter Johanna was born in St Louis (as they came to the states through New Orleans and traveled up) in 1849. They settled in Menard County, Illinois. Gerds son Thomas married Betty Boehm, and she was the granddaughter of Henry and Mary Aden. They married in 1912, living in Nebraska, then in the 1930's moved to Oakford, Ill. Both are buried at the Oakford Cemetery.

There are some small things you can all help with:
1. The 1st and most important part is for you to get active. Please join the groups in the areas you are researching and start posting.
2. Read the postings in the areas you know about and offer help where you can.
3. Tell your friends and fellow genealogists about us and invite them to join us in the Chat and Network.
4. Add Looking 4 Kin to your signature on outgoing email.
5. Add a link on your genealogy website.
6. Add a link to us on link sites if you don't see Looking 4 Kin listed.
7. Send invitations to mailing lists and groups you belong to (with permission granted to do so from owner 1st).
8. Word of mouth is the best advertising we can get, so please tell people about Looking 4 Kin Genealogy Chat, & Looking 4 Kin Genealogy & Family History Network
Worldwide genealogy site offers a chatroom, links and message forums to aid you in tracing your genealogy, family history and local history.
