Profile Information

A Little About Me
Born in a small village in Saskatchewan....moved to a bigger town in my teens and now live in Winnipeg Manitoba with my wonderful family. I'm an Artist....cartoons, caricature, logos...pretty much anything! I have even done some paintings on canvas every once in a while.
I garden and grow my own summer flowers and a few veggies (even a few fruits) I also love to sing and recently have been doing some song writing with my husband. Life is GOOD!
Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
Thomson/Sinclair/Craig/Whyte/Aberdeen/Midlothian Scotland
Blunts et al of Shrewsbury (Wyle Cop)Shropshire and Southwark, Surrey, England
I got started researching my family history ......
about a ten years ago, when helping my husband search for his ancestors. It was so intriguing I decided to look into my own family. I started by building a website for an ancestor, and haven't looked back...Oh, wait...I am looking back!
I enjoy hunting for others...so a bit of a snoop.
I have been doing genealogy since ....
A little over a decade here and there... altho you'd likely not guess that.
We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
Not so much any ancestry yet, so my brick wall is not yet being able to afford some pay sites :)

I am lucky as I have an easier to find family than some of my husband's ancestors who were of aboriginal descent. One found thus far only as "Indian woman". Sadly we will never fill in those blanks, as they were considered to have no soul or "only half a soul" by many...so why count them in?
By joining Looking 4 Kin I hope to .....
enjoy and get more involved in this hobby... learn even more.

I have looked at him but with no dates at all and no birth marriage or death record to be found I have no possible way of knowing if it could be him.

Hello and welcome to Looking4Kin. Join a group or 2 within here where you may be able to get some help, sometimes just discussing something brings new insight.

On a non genie note it is perhaps because of your ancestor that our daughter is alive and well. When she was born she had very bad jaundice so she was placed under flourescent lights to help her fight the fact that her liver was not working. Today she is a mother of 2 lively young boys. It is amazing what certain types of light can do.

once again welcome.
