- A Little About Me
- I am 50 and have been researching my family tree now for 10 years
- I got started researching my family history ......
- because my mum was orphaned at age 6 with her sister and two brothers. Her only real memories of life were of the children's home and some very weak memories of her parents. we decided to do something about it. It has been a great journey but sadly my mum passed away in 2008 age 85. I have some unanswered questions before I can complete my project. I visited Orkney in 2005 and was able to show mum lots of photographs and lots of information.

- Birth and death records for James Couper born around 1765 and Margaret Garriock born around 1765
