Hamster & Brukker

I am looking for more information on my husbands' family.  His father was Gustav Hendrik Hamster dob 2 or 28 April 1907 in Karkus, Estonia.  He died in England 25 Feb. 1987.  My husband does not remember his father as WW2 separated the parents and then his mother moved to Canada.  His mother was Linda Brukker, dob 30 June 1913 in Tallinn Estonia.  They married on 23 July 1939 in Tallinn.  Gustav's father was Freidrich Nikolai Hamster dob 15 June 1873  in Frauenberg, Kurland.  He died in Berlin…See More

I got started researching my family history ......
I've always wanted to know about my family history, but my maternal grandmother did not want me to do it till after she died. So I respected her wishes and waited until then. Now I am really curious as to what is waiting for me to find. I've always been a history buff and as a young child wanted to be a detective. It's a perfect match when you do genealogy!

We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
My paternal grandmother. She came from Bukovina, don't know when or how. All the documentation that I have is her marriage license.
