A Little About Me
In the 90's I finally obtained the nursing degree that only barely began 1958. Worked 13 yrs as nurse, retiring in 2006. Husband, Bill & I, enjoy doing things at our own pace and manage to keep ourselves busy.
Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
Bacon/Hunt/Hewitt/and Post from England- 1660-1900's.
That's my maternal side. Parmelee's from England to CT, my paternal side. Then there's my husband's family, the Vreelands from the Netherlands. That line was fun to try to trace.
I got started researching my family history ......
I got started this genealogy thing this Spring. The Bacon/Hunt/Hewitt/and Post was begun by my grandfather. The line was done in the 40' & 50's. It was bare bones work, so I decided to flesh it out & add to it. Vreelands were just basic also. It's been fun!
I have been doing genealogy since ....
Since Feb. 2010. So, I really am a novice tracer.
We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
I'm still trying to nail down the parents of Wilbert Williams said to be born in CT. However the death notice was given PA as birth place.
By joining Looking 4 Kin I hope to .....
Possibly find some help from people who have a lot better handle with nooks and crannies of places to search. Over this time here, I've collected many web sites that has widened my searching. I really appreciate being among people who in the know!

I'm fortunate enough to have a Genealogy Center right here in Jonesville and I introduced myself. They were very helpful to me, and patient. We managed to find a couple of facts that fit and I'm excited to see if I find information I need on this 1st microfilm I've ordered from Church records from Navenby, England. Wouldn't that be a hoot? Beginning the new yr., I'll put out some money for searching. It ought to be an interesting year.
