Profile Information

A Little About Me
Born Calgary, Alberta and when a young boy of 6 moved with family to British Columbia and have lived there ever since. Now retired and able to spend quality time on my research. Found it difficult to do much on my research when I was still employed but now I do have the time.
Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
England: Norfolk: Hammond Betts Bringloe
Kent: Friend Pattison Mannering Clayson Small Bean
Lancashire: Lane
Yorkshire: Hammond Lane Scaife Snowball
Co. Durham & Northumberland: Simpson Richardson Dunn Forster Wright
In Australia: Pattison Clayson Friend
In New Zealand: Amos Row
In the United States - Michigan - Stroud; New York - Hullock
I got started researching my family history ......
because when I grew up I never met a living relative had no aunts, uncles, cousins or grandparents. So when my daughter asked me about my grandparents I could not tell her very much as I did not know. That started my quest and since then I have actually met living relatives for the first time.
I have been doing genealogy since ....
close to 20 years
We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
Trying to find the baptism of Richard Hammond who claims to have been born in Bradenham, Norfolk, England Time of his birth could be between 1775 and 1781. There is a John and Mary Hammond who had children in this time period in East Bradenham. Though no baptism appears for Richard. I am presently trying to elimate all the close by parishes for his baptism. Not know where the mother came from makes it difficult to find this baptism as he may have been the first born son in the family and was baptized in his mother's parish. Any help in finding this elusive baptism would be greatly apppreciated.
By joining Looking 4 Kin I hope to .....
Belong to a community who cares about genealogical research. To be able to post queries to assist me in my research and also help others with their research. To find new links and maybe even find new relatives I did not know about. And make new friends.

Joseph is buried at ROOKWOOD ANGLICAN : Area AN, Section CC, grave 691.
He was buried 14/09/1886.

This is from the Rookwood Anglican deceased search.

The Rookwood Transcription CD has his death as 12/09/1887 which is incorrect.

If you would like a photo of his headstone let me know as I am going there in the near future to photograph some of my wife's ancestors graves.
