- John M McLarty family, Isle of Skye, Kintyre in Argleshire, Scotland came to Ontario.
- I got started researching my family history ......
- My Great Aunt wrote a family history for me before she died and that is what got me into trying to trace the McLarty line.
- I have been doing genealogy since ....
- off and on since 2005
- We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
- I am stuck not finding John M McLarty's parents names and also when he arrived from Scotland. Born 1817, married Euphemia McMaster in 1844 in Ontario, Canada. Was in 1871 census, died abt 1874. Can't get to Scotland to further trace.
