50th Wedding Anniversary of Abraham Vachon and Flavie Minville of Sainte Marie de Beauce, Quiebec @ 1905

Profile Information

A Little About Me
I visited the Yukon in June-July 2011, and left the USA with 4 Poulin ancestors (one man had 2 wives). I returned with 21 ancestors and 1 living 2nd cousin, a descendent of one of the original 4. Among them, my maternal grandfather, Raoul Poulin.
Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
surname Poulin in/around Dawson from 1898 through 1950s.
I got started researching my family history ......
years ago. I am the amateur family genealogist of the Poulin / Vachon family. Today, we are about 130 strong (alive), with family in Carcross, YT, Ladysmith, Mayne Island and Vancouver (Mainland) BC, California, Quebec and in/around Worcester, Masschusetts (the East Coast of the US).
I have been doing genealogy since ....

We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
Chilokoot or White pass? Edmonton route details.
Name of stations that existed from Edmonton through Dawson in 1898, and again in 1907. Yes, I know that they jumped on rivers at different points, but some stations did not exist in 1898, but were there in 1907.
Also, I need to learn what would PROBABLY been the attitudes of a Tr'ondek Hwech'in pregnant, single woman in/about 1930s. Would she have willingly married a "white man" or would she have held out for some mIndian man to offer to support her / her child?
