How Looking 4 Kin Geneology worked for me

I started my searches for family ancestors and what happened to them about 18 months ago but was having very limited success especially about folks who were in the Pittsburgh area. I kept searching but not using Looking 4 Kin network, so, about 1 month ago I posted my queries on Looking 4 Kin and within 2 weeks I now know where they are buried and when they died. My thanks to the members of this wonderful network of geneologists. JimIGSSee More

A Little About Me
Arrived in Canada in 1968
Resident of Brampton, Ontario
Names I Research & their locations .... (please be specific here)
Johnston Fitzsimmons (Fitzsimons)
Grace Fitzsimmons
Robert Anderson
Samuel Anderson
Elizabeth Anderson
Samuel Shepherd
Sarah Hanna Shepherd
I got started researching my family history ......
Because I find it so interesting and it gets more so as I find another person to add to my collection. I have been concentrating on the Fitzsimmons part of our families but I am starting to check out the Andersons and the McConnells.
I do get frustrated when I search for what seems to be endless hours for one of our ancestors with no results.
I have been doing genealogy since ....
About 18 months
We all have them - my biggest brick wall is .......
My biggest brick wall was Johnston Fitzsimmons who died and was buried in the U.S. I found his daughter Grace had died in Pittsburgh 6 months after getting married to Albert Schmidbauer in West Virginia, this took about 12-15 months.
Lately, I found that Johnston actually died in 1927 wich was before Grace who died in 1928 and they are buried beside each other in Homewood Cemetery in Pittsburgh. This was thanks to some help which I got from members who I am very grateful to.
By joining Looking 4 Kin I hope to .....
Somehow get further in finding the members of the Anderson family which begins in Scotland and continues in county Antrim, N. Ireland. Now that I am in my mid-seventies my frustration sometimes overcomes my patience, but just did discover some info. on my great-grandfather just yesterday.
