Hello,I'm looking for any trace of some of my FLETCHER relatives in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Alexander FLETCHER & Elizabeth FREW married in Glasgow, Scotland around 1880. It was thought that they immigrated to Kansas, USA and had a family there, and after Elizabeth died Alexander took their children back to Scotland. - My great grandmother Eliza MCGREGOR b. 1887, Argyll Scotland. Married Angus MCARTHUR in Greenock, Scotland in 1912. They moved to Canada, had a daughter Margaret MCARTHUR and then separated. Angus returned to Scotland, divorced Eliza and remarried. Eliza must have remarried to as I can find no trace of her in Canada, no death, no burial. Supposedly she was in the Ottawa area and lived to be around 90. UPDATE: Great grandma found Feb. 14th, 2013! All of the above turned out to be true. Eliza remarried to Allen DILLON in 1917, Ottawa. Her daughter, Margaret MCARTHUR, married George LAJEUNESSE in 1936 and died in child birth the following year. Looking for George's descendants in Ottawa area now.
